Overview
Astrid can’t do anything right, which is why her sister, Tara, put her on the navigation panel. Astrid found a way to mess it up, navigating them in Vandar territory. When they are boarded by Vandar Raiders for trespassing, Astrid offers herself in lieu of her sister’s head.
Raas Kratos was raised to be merciless. Something he’s embraced, until now. With her he doesn’t want to be hard, he wants to be gentle with her soft curves. He wants more than her body, he wants all of her, fully willing.
Positives
The Vandar War lords are big, strong aliens complete with tails, kilts and battle axes. Possessed starts as a simple alien abduction that quickly evolves into something else. The brutish War lord begins to soften as the human virgin gains her confidence. This could easily be a Stockholm syndrome, manipulative mess. But because they both transform to meet in the middle, I think it steers clear.
Negatives
There could have been more emotional depth to reinforce their growth as individuals and their feelings for each other. The series is more of a spicy alien romance, so I can’t be too critical of the lack of depth.
Recommendations
I’ve listened to the first six books multiple times. Its a great series for high intimacy alien romance lovers. 4 Stars.
Narration Notes
Audiobook features Marcion Catalano and Addison Barnes as the narrators. They do a great job. I especially like Marcio Catalano for the Vandars.
