Ten years after abandonment, whispers rise from the ashes. One man buried by betrayal may be the key to reclaiming Earth—or destroying what’s left.
Hell Divers II: Ghosts is obviously the second book in the Hell Divers series.
Overview
It’s been 10 years since The Hive left Xavier on the ground. Tin, who prefers to go by Michael now, has grown up and is the commander of the Raptor Hell Diver team. Leon Jordan has become the Captain, choosing to rule with an iron fist and solidify their place in the sky. But things are changing; there are whispers of a prophecy of a man on the ground who will lead them to their new home back on land.
Things escalate quickly, and secrets are no longer secret. Everything Captain Jordan has built is crashing down. Michael is determined to reveal the truth, even if it’s a mutiny.

Positives
The world-building is perfect. I love the fascinating science behind the life forms and the environment. We also start getting some history on how everything burned out this way.
The plot is fast-paced and action-packed. The only lull in action is when we have suspense for discovering the secrets. It keeps you enthralled to the end.
Negatives
There isn’t much for character depth and growth. The focus is definitely on the action and opening up more plot lines for the following books. The characters are still well thought out, but not to the extent that they overshadow the plot.
Recommendations
Where book one was doom and gloom, Ghosts is more backstabbing and betrayal. This is more of a vibe I remembered from the series. I give it four stars, just because the characters don’t seem to have much growth.
Narration Notes
R.C. Bray narrates the series. He is a great choice to match the demanding lives our divers lead.
