Ten years lost—one final mission. As old ghosts rise and tyranny tightens its grip, Deliverance may be humanity’s last hope—and Xavier’s redemption.
Hell Divers III: Deliverance is the third book in the Hell Divers series. The series is best experienced in chronological order.
Overview
Michael and his team are on the search for Xavier “X” Rodriguez. They have been abandoned by Captain Jordan just like X was 10 years prior. Even with the help of their new ship, Deliverance, getting X’s last known location is easier said than done.
Meanwhile, on The Hive, Captain Jordan is barely holding things together. His iron fist method isn’t working out like he planned. His solution? Become a straight-up dictator.

Positives
The suspense of Tin and X’s upcoming reunion kept me speeding through the chapters. So much has happened to both of them. Neither of them is the same person they were 10 years ago. Both characters have evolved to survive.
The addition of Miles was a great decision to save X’s character. Miles serves the same purpose as his predecessors in not only protecting their humans but also providing companionship. That companionship helps X stay sane and survive for 10 years.
Negatives
We return to some darker themes again. This appears to be the catalyst for character growth. It looks like I can’t have one without the other.
Recommendations
The situation at The Hive gets dark under Captain Jordan’s reign. But the last part is satisfying, so if you can hold out. I give Deliverance four stars. The character development of X is so well thought out. I can’t stop reflecting on how all those years affected him.
Narration Notes
R.C. Bray narrates the series. He is a great choice to match the hard life that the hell divers and survivors live.
