One minute she’s trying to fix her screen door, the next she’s in what she hoped was a very realistic NASA alien abduction escape room. But alas, she’s been abducted by aliens.

Equal parts comedy, chemistry, and cosmic chaos, Choosing Theo blends clever world-building with the kind of slow-burn tension that makes you grin in public and scramble for the next chapter.
Overview
Jade has watched enough sci-fi to know she’s in trouble, so when she gets the opportunity to run, she does. When more aliens rescue her, she is relieved. When they tell her to agree to a 3-month “marriage” with the male of her choice, she’s a little upset.
Once she sees Theo’s black “tattoos”, she knows who she would love to spend three months with. But she can’t figure out why everyone is either afraid of him or surprised by her choice.
Positives
Beware: Reading or listening to this book may result in some strange looks when you randomly burst out laughing. Jade has a hilarious sense of humor. There are many things (and people) that are not what they seem. Aveline created a beautiful world, and I look forward to exploring it further.
Negatives
It’s too short. Not really, I just didn’t want it to end. I love Jade and Theo’s relationship.
Recommendations
This book was one of my top 10 books read last year. Absolutely five stars! Whenever I need a reliable sweet romance with a touch of comedy, Choosing Theo is my go-to.
Narration Notes
I don’t often come across romances with a male narrator. Usually, the only time you have a male narrator is just for a male point of view. But Stephen Dexter is great. I barely even noticed it.
