A disgraced wolf. A wounded bear clan. One curvy heroine who might just tame the beast—and help him become the leader he was meant to be.
Howl My Name is the fifth and final book in the Grayslake: More Than Mated series.
Overview
Reid is trying to redeem himself after being removed as alpha of his pack for dishonorable behavior. Now he is working for the Southeast Itana and has a therapist. His current assignment is to investigate the Brookfield clan’s Itan. Itan is dead, and he, a wolf, has been designated the Itan of the Brookfield bears.
The curvy werebear, Evelyn, makes it worthwhile. She calms the anger that has controlled him his whole life. Together, can they help this clan heal from the years of abuse the previous Itan (Evelyn’s father) made them suffer?

Positives
Evelyn is brave, kind, and intuitive. Celia Kyle really knows how to deliver a strong female lead; we’ve seen it in every book of the Grayslake: More Than Mated series.
While Reid is not one of the brothers, he’s basically adopted in because he’s the half-brother of Kira and Trista, two mates of the Grayslake brothers. There is a really sweet moment at the end when he sounds embarrassed and reluctant, but he is actually happy and proud to be a part of this family.
Negatives
As with most of the other books in the series, there is a lot of violence and some abuse. If you were okay with No Ifs ands or Bears About It and Roaring Up the Wrong Tree, then you’ll be fine with the violence in this one.
Recommendations
It’s nice to see Reid’s character arc and tie up all the loose ends—a great end to the series. Howl My Name is four stars for me.
Narration Notes
Kendall Taylor continues as narrator throughout the entire series. I love her voice!
There is a bonus short story at the end that brings everyone together for a last gathering to wrap up the series. This bonus is included on both Audible and Evermore platforms.
Audiobook is available on Audible and Evermore.
