A pantry, a bear cub, and a curvy heroine with a no-cussing rule—welcome to Grayslake, where love is wild, warm, and totally unexpected.
No Ifs, Ands, or Bears About It is the first book in the Grayslake: More Than Mated series.
Overview
Mia has just moved into the home she inherited from her werebear grandfather. She thought her most significant task of the day was tackling the mountain of boxes in the living room, until a bear cub showed up in her pantry. The poor thing is terrified of something or someone. Probably the uncle who’s breaking down Mia’s door.
Luckily, the Grayslake werebear clan leader, Ty, shows up to handle the situation. He can’t get his mind off the curvaceous quarter werebear who is determined to keep and protect this little werebear cub. To keep her happy while obeying pack laws, he takes them both home with him. Unfortunately, there is more to the story, and everything is about to get complicated.

Positives
Mia and Ty’s relationship is lovely. It’s full of passion and respect. I love that we have a female lead who is in her thirties and has some extra pounds. Ty loves every part of her.
There are a lot of political initiatives throughout the
Negatives
There isn’t anything significant, but Mia’s obsession with not cussing was a little annoying after a bit. It was cute hearing all her alternatives -but she’s so insistent on no one else cussing. Maybe it’s just because I am a foul-mouthed sailor myself.
Recommendations
The Grayslake: More Than Mated is a lovely series that I’ve revisited a few times. It’s four stars for me. I love the fast pace and emotional depth.
Narration Notes
Kendall Taylor narrates the series. She has a sweet voice that adds to the cozy romance feel.
