She’s a selfless sister. He’s a grumpy professor. Their bond was fate—but surviving it means facing sabotage, heartbreak, and a second chance at love.
The Alpha’s True Mate is the first book in the Eternal Bond Series.
Overview
Aisha will do anything for her little brother. She has raised him herself since he was a baby and took him from the pack that would allow them to be harmed. Now in hiding, she is a full-time student and full-time bartender trying to make a better life for them. Last thing she needs is a pesky mate dance with the grouchy Morris, who is also one of her professors.
What started as a way to minimize the symptoms of their mating dance has blossomed into a loving romance. Or has it? There are plenty of people who don’t want them to succeed and will sabotage them by any means.

Positives
Aisha is so strong and selfless, definitely a heroine you want to root for. When the rejection occurs, it’s heartbreaking. I cry every time I listen to it. She just wanted to have it easy for once.
Jaymin Snow makes you feel sorry for Morris while simultaneously wanting to slap him upside the head. I would have appreciated a little more groveling from him, but that’s just me.
Negatives
The world-building fell a little short. It felt like there were a lot of holes in the love and pack dynamics. There are a lot of shifter romances out there with their own rules and guidelines, so it’s challenging to assume.
Recommendations
The Alpha’s True Mate is a four-star for me. The romantic relationship saves this book from weak world-building. I’ve re-listened to it multiple times.
Narrations Notes
Willa Jaymes narrates. She does a great job. The print version has some rough editing mistakes, but Willa Jaymes filters those from the listeners.
