He broke their bond and never looked back. Ten years later, she returns—with their dying son and a truth that could heal or destroy them both.
Alpha’s Cursed Hidden Heir is technically the second book of the Feral Hearts Saga, but it is a standalone romance.
Overview
Faith always felt an attraction to Drake, but it wasn’t until she spent that wonderful night with him that she knew why. He’s her mate! Fated mates are rare, so there is no way he would deny it, right? Resolved to move on, Faith comes to the realization she’s pregnant. She gathers her courage to tell him. Instead of talking to her he denies her in front of his friends, breaking their bond.
As Faith’s son approaches his 10th birthday, her heart swells with pride. She got her nursing degree and has a network of humans who support her and her son. When her son collapses at school and his organs start shutting down for no reason, she knows what she has to do. Find Drake and cure her son.

Positives
Faith is a strong woman, life keeps knocking her down, but she just gets right back up. When Drake shatters her heart, she doesn’t waste time. She sets her goals and achieves them.
After the pain of breaking the bond, Drake vows to remain single and celibate. When Faith returns with their sick son, he does everything he can to help and support.
Pair strong female lead and a groveling make with a painful rejection – you have my recipe for a good rejected mate story. Alpha’s Cursed Hidden Heir has it all.
Negatives
The writing fell short for me. Many dialogues were unnatural or underdeveloped. There were some missed opportunities with the relationship between the packs. I have no idea what she was doing with Toby.
Recommendations
Because of the technical problems, I have to give it two stars. Alpha’s Cursed Hidden Heir has the back bone to be a good story, but it needed more work. Some of the dialogues in the beginning were so underdeveloped I briefly considered skipping the book. But I’m glad I didn’t, the story itself was good and interesting.
