Marked as a traitor and hunted by her fated mate, Nalia returns to the pack years later—stronger, pregnant, and ready to reclaim her future.
Lycan Prince’s Fated Queen is the fourth book in the Feral Hearts Saga, but it’s written as a standalone romance.
Overview
Nalia can’t get a break for anything. Marked as a traitor as a baby because her parents murdered a royal family, she has been humiliated and ridiculed her whole life. In an attempt to escape becoming the pack’s sex slave or being sold to the highest bidder, she runs.
Unfortunately, she runs right into Rhett, the son of the people her parents killed, and her fated mate. He subjects her to his built-up rage while also succumbing to his need to mate with her. When Nalia discovers her pregnancy, she makes another escape. Now, years later, she’s back. Can she finally get the happily ever after she always wished for?

Positives
Nalia is resilient, having been tortured and abused her whole life; she keeps standing. Her mating was doomed from the beginning, so when Rhett officially rejects her, it’s not surprising. It takes a long time for Rhett to realize his failures and shortcomings, but he eventually does. This results in considerable growth for the character.
Negatives
Lycan Prince’s Fated Queen wasn’t easy to read. The dialogue was underdeveloped and unnatural consistently throughout the book. The storytelling was confusing at times; there are instances where a character is doing one thing and then doing something completely different in the following paragraph. There are also so many grammatical and spelling errors.
There is also an issue with the world-building. At no point does the author clarify the difference between Lycans and werewolves in this world. It’s also not clear precisely what an omega is and where they are in the hierarchy of wolves. These are all things that vary significantly across shifter romances, so we can’t assume anything.
Recommendations
With all the issues, I almost didn’t finish it, but the plot was interesting, and I wanted to see Nalia succeed. So I did finish, therefore I give it two stars. With Nalia’s strength and Rhett’s character development, it’s an okay rejected mate story. But their romance chemistry is so off! He rapes her for months, and she still likes it?
If you enjoy enemies-to-lovers and BDSM, you might enjoy this; otherwise, just skip it.
The book is free to read with a Kindle Unlimited membership.
