This isn’t a love story built on soft moments—it’s wild, impulsive, and laced with the raw fear of falling too hard, too fast. When a town won’t let you leave and a mate bond refuses to loosen its grip, the only way out might just be through.

Trapped in Garoureve book cover

Overview

Trapped in Garoureve is the third book in the Garoureve Shifters series. We meet Gina (Regina) on her way to an interview for a job she doesn’t actually want. After a quick pit stop in Garoureve, she finds that her vehicle won’t start. She walks over to the mechanics, where she meets Tristan. Their romance is tumultuous, and both feel trapped in the town, therefore unable to accept their mate status. Sometimes distance makes the heart grow stronger.

Positives

So their sexual relationship isn’t my cup of tea, explosive and impulsive are great descriptions. Their romance is filled with doubt and fear of what could happen. It is more aligned with how genuine relationships go.

Gina (Regina) is super confident in her curves. She likes to show it off. She has some things she kept to herself and hidden from her mother as a form of rebellion. Both parties do a lot of self-discovery.

Negatives

It’s so minor, but it annoyed me! Drew changes Gina’s name in the narration between Gina and Regina. It makes sense in the dialogues, but in the narration, an author usually sticks with just one.

Recommendations

Your emotions will go on a roller coaster. Knowing it’s a HEA, I was surprised that Drew managed to make me doubt it. I give it four stars; it was a great read, but it didn’t draw me in enough to feel the need to reread it.
