My love for books began as a child with stories like The Boxcar Children and Junie B. Jones—those first adventures sparked a lifelong passion for getting lost in the pages of a great story.

By the time I reached high school, my reading habit had grown into a full-blown obsession. I was devouring a novel a day, diving into timeless classics from authors like Jane Austen, C.S. Lewis, and J.R.R. Tolkien. Each book shaped me in its own way, expanding my imagination and introducing me to new ideas. 

When I entered military service, I took a bit of a break from reading, but the need to escape to other worlds eventually returned. Books became my sanctuary once again, and this passion for reading has only grown over the years.

After my service, I continued my education and earned two business degrees, including a Master’s. During this time, I rediscovered not just my love for stories but also my hunger for knowledge. Books became more than an escape—they became tools for self-growth, understanding, and exploration. 

Today, my reading habits are as diverse as ever. I’m equally likely to pick up a sweeping fantasy novel as I am a thought-provoking self-help book, a fascinating history, or even a DIY guide. I consume an absurd number of books (seriously, it’s a lot), so I’ve become a frequent user of my local library (and their app!) as well as other digital resources. This blog is my way of sharing my love for books with the world.
